OUR STORY

In 2017, a group of concerned citizens came together to address the growing need for transitional housing for women and children impacted by domestic violence in Kendall County and surrounding areas. Recognizing the lack of such resources in the region, they founded Transformation House in 2018, offering a strengths-based, client-centered program designed to help families transition out of homelessness. With support from local foundations and partnerships with service providers, the organization grew, adding case management and licensed social workers over time. In 2021, the program expanded to a new campus, increasing capacity and adding additional resources, including new cottages, office space, and a licensed play therapist. Today, the organization focuses on best practices that foster sustainable self-sufficiency for families, helping them achieve financial stability and emotional healing through a holistic, wrap-around approach.
